Our Program
Our in-home child care program follows a blend of language immersion in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. The students partake in play-based activities, which encourages them to speak up and direct the type of play they would like to engage in. Student-centered learning is a common pillar of Montessori, which our daycare is partly inspired by.
This allows a mixed-age group of infants and toddlers to socialize with each other and reach developmental milestones as a collective group. Furthermore, as a small program of up to six students, our child care provides a great stepping stone for your child to learn to socialize with other children without being overwhelmed, in comparison to large centers. Parents in particular, enjoy the individualized attention and care that their child receives at Little Mandarins.
Bilingual
Would you like your child to be introduced to other languages early in life? Research shows that infants and toddlers absorb languages much more quickly because their brains are like sponges at this stage. At Little Mandarins, your child can learn Mandarin or Cantonese alongside English as they prepare for preschool.
Play-Based
Many child care providers adopt a purposeful approach known as learning through play. This method fosters imagination, creativity, and excitement, motivating your child to be active and enthusiastic about learning. Our students achieve developmental motor skills in a short period. They've progressed from crawling to walking within our program, and now they're excellent runners in the backyard play area. Additionally, children transition from being bottle-fed and spoon-fed to independently feeding themselves and discovering their preferred foods.
Montessori Inspired
Montessori-inspired daycares emphasize experiential learning, allowing children to explore new ideas through touch and action rather than just sitting at desks listening to a teacher. By navigating the classroom freely, students engage with their surroundings in a self-directed and inquisitive way, empowering them to take control of their own educational journey.
Potty Training and Hygiene
Our potty training and hygiene program equips your child for a smooth transition to preschool or kindergarten. We work in partnership with you to potty train your child, providing guidance on best practices and regular progress updates. By maintaining a consistent approach with parents, we help families reduce diaper cleanup time, for more fun and adventures together!
